🎃💦 Will a pumpkin sink or float?

Let your little scientist make a prediction—then test it together!

You’ll need:
🎃 A small, whole pumpkin
💧 A bowl or tub wide and deep enough for it to float
🧺 A towel underneath

With a grown-up supervising, gently lower the pumpkin into the water. What happens?

Ask:
“What did you think would happen?”
“What do you notice?”
“Why do you think it floats?”

Try another small pumpkin and compare your discoveries!

Stay beside your child throughout the activity and empty the water when you’re finished. 💛
